Ingredients

6 servings
  • 1 cupPoha
  • 2Boil potato (peeled and mash)
  • 1/2 cupCottage cheese (paneer grated)
  • 1Carrot (peeled and grated)
  • 1 tablespoonGinger and garlic paste
  • as neededCoriander leaves
  • 1Onion (optional)
  • 1 teaspoonChaat masala
  • to tasteSalt
  • 1/4 teaspoonTurmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoonRed chilli powder
  • 1 teaspoonDry mango powder
  • 1/2 tablespoonLemon juice
  • 2-3 tablespoonCorn flour
  • as neededSesame seeds for coating
  • as neededOil for deep frying

Steps

    Take poha, rinse it, and soak the poha in water for 2 minutes.

  2. 2

    Then, drain all water and soak poha for 10 minutes.

  3. 3

    In a bowl, add soaked poha, boiled potatoes, grated carrots, grated paneer, ginger-garlic paste, and coriander.

  4. 4

    Also add salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, dry mango powder, chaat masala, and lemon juice.

  5. 5

    Mix everything very well, add corn flour and mix again.

  6. 6

    Shape into small cutlets and as you like.

  7. 7

    Now, coat the cutlet in sesame seeds or bread crumbs and keep aside for 2 minutes.

  8. 8

    Now, heat oil in a pan and deep fry the cutlets until they become golden brown.

  9. 9

    Cutlets are ready to eat.

  10. 10

    You can also shallow fry or pan fry. Your cutlets are then ready to eat. Serve with green chutney, tamarind chutney, or sauce.
