Soak rice ten minutes,soak the jaggery in 2 glasses water too

Milk the coconut by grinding in blender and extract milk by adding hot water,one glass thick milk and 1 glass thin milk

Now make a baghar or tadka of ghee, onion chopped,cloves and cinnamon

Add soaked rice in baghar and add the thin coconut milk to rice.Cook on slow for 3-5 minutes as 2 point less to be done

Now add the soaked jaggery/gud syrup to the thick coconut milk,add raisins& saffron strands mix well
- 6
Add this to the cooking rice,mix lightly,put the pot covered on tava to give Dum effect
- 7
About 5-7minutes meethe chawal ready to serve garnished with cashews
