Creamy Steak & Mushroom Rigatoni Creamy Steak & Mushroom Rigatoni
This was made with leftover steak we brought home from a new steakhouse we tried that was less than stellar (lesson learned, we're sticking to our "regular" place from now on lol). I didn't want to completely waste our money so I was just trying to figure out a way to salvage the mess we brought home using what I had on hand. This turned out pretty dang good, and using evaporated milk as a substitute for cream is always tasty (I do it often). You can definitely use fresh steak if you don't have any leftover from another meal, and it absolutely can be any cut you wish! StephieCanCook -

Grated Daikon Radish Japanese-Style Steak Sauce Grated Daikon Radish Japanese-Style Steak Sauce
Our household steak sauce, passed down from my mother. Thanks to this light sauce, we never feel heavy after eating, even when eating steak.Adding too much garlic makes it spicy, so just a little is enough - about the size of your pinky fingertip.I use the part of the daikon closest to the leaf, which is sweet. As the moisture of the daikon changes with it's size, try tasting it, and if it's too salty, adjust the amount of soy sauce used. Steak with Homemade Grated Daikon Radish Sauce Steak with Homemade Grated Daikon Radish Sauce
Rather than a rich and heavily-flavored steak, I felt like seasoning it light. This was my attempt of making homemade sauce. If you strain the grated daikon radish too much, it will taste dried out, so leave a moderate amount of moisture and top on the steak. Recipe by JCT cookpad.japan -

Make sure to wait until steaks release easily from the pan before turning them. Test your steaks' doneness by pressing on the thickest part with your finger. The softer the steak, the rarer it will be. Recipe is Marta Stewart's. Hope you like it. Rae -
