This seems to be kinda popular with the food bloggers lately. The Dole Whip is a vendor item at the dole plantation in Hawaii. It's also served at Disney theme parks apparently. I've never tried the real deal, but this version is a delicious treat on a summer day. And much healthier than most other frozen dessert options.

Ingredients

  • 1 lbfrozen pineapple
  • 1 pinchsalt
  • 1/4 cupmilk
  • 1 tbsphoney
  • 1/2a lemon

Steps

  1. 1

    In your blender, combine the first 4 ingredients, then squeeze in the juice from your lemon halve. Careful for the seeds!

  2. 2

    Puree on high until smooth. Takes a little effort. I have a great blender, but I still had to stop and stir a couple of times.

  3. 3

    This would really go well with a hot day and a nice view. Probably a splash of rum wouldn't hurt either.

Thank you, this does sound healthier than other versions. Will try as soon as possible. Im trying to cut out sugar but i am sooo addicted to sugar this sounds like it will help with the cravings.
