Peanut Butter Fingers

I found this recipe in an old book that was put together by The Mile High Cake Decorators Club ( an organization created by my mom and my Aunt Bette in the 1970s). This recipe was entered by a woman named Shirley Thomas.
The very first time I made them, they became a family favorite. I hope everyone enjoys them as much as we do!

Steps
- 1
Preheat oven to 350 F.
- 2
Cream together the butter and sugars.
- 3
Blend in the egg, 1/3 C peanut butter, baking soda, and vanilla.
- 4
Blend in the flour and oats.
- 5
Mix in the chocolate chips.
- 6
Spread into a 9x13 baking pan and bake for 25 minutes.
- 7
After removing the bars from the oven, combine the peanut butter, milk, and powdered sugar to form a glaze.
- 8
Drizzle the glaze across the bars and then cut into rectangles. (I cut my pretty small so I get 36 to a batch.)
