I won't call it mchele njeri coz I used nduma instead of the kikuyu mixture and trust me it's sweet

Peel and wash the nduma,chop into bite sized pieces and steam for 20 mins

Melt coconut oil in a sufuria then add the chopped onions cook for 4-5 mins until they just start Browning the edges

Add the finely minced ginger and garlic and cook for a min....grind the spices you may want to add along side with coriander the green pepper and turmeric powder to the sufuria.while stiring add fresh tomatoes and mix them.add the salt to taste

Lower the heat and cover and leave to simmer for 5 minutes for the tomatoes to soften.Add the steamed nduma and potatoes mix well then add enough water and cover leave to boil then add rice(I used 1 cup rice coz am cooking for two)leave it to cook

As you wide up add dhania leaves and turn off the heat...serve while hot
