Ingredients

30 minutes
4 servings
  1. 200 gmspaneer cubes
  2. 2 cupsmilk
  3. 1/4 cupmalai/fresh cream
  4. 1medium sized onion(roughly chopped)
  5. 5-6garlic cloves
  6. 1small piece of ginger
  7. 1green chilli(slit)
  8. 8-10cashews
  9. 1 tspcumin seeds
  10. 1green cardamom pod
  11. 1bay leaf
  12. 2cloves
  13. 2-4black pepper corns
  14. 1small stick cinnamon
  15. 3-4saffron strands
  16. 1 pinchturmeric powder (optional)
  17. 1/4 tspred chilli powder
  18. 1/4 tspgaram masala powder
  19. 2 tspdried fenugreek leaves
  20. to tasteSalt
  21. 1 tbspbutter

Steps

30 minutes
  1. 1

    Heat a pan on medium high flame, add 2 glass water and let it boil.

  2. 2

    Add in the roughly chopped onion, garlic cloves, ginger, and cashews. Cover and let it
    cook for 7-8 minutes on medium flame or till the onion turns soft and cooked completely.

  3. 3

    Let it cool down completely. Strain and blend into a smooth paste.

  4. 4

    Heat butter in a pan on low medium flame.

  5. 5

    Add jeera, bay leaf, cardamom, cloves, black peper corn and green chilli. Sauté for 4-5 seconds.

  6. 6

    Add in the onion cashew paste. Sauté and cook for 1-2 minutes.

  7. 7

    Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder and garam masala powder. Mix well and cook for 1-2 minutes on low flame.

  8. 8

    Add in the cream and mix well.

  9. 9

    Now add milk, saffron and dried fenugreek leaves. Mix nicely and cook for a minute.

  10. 10

    Add paneer cubes and salt. Cover and simmer it for 5-8 minutes. Or cook till the gravy turns thick, smooth
    and creamy.

  11. 11

    Garnish with some cream and serve hot with chapati, naan,paratha or jeera rice.
