Ingredients

  • 6 tspButter
  • 1/2 "Dalchini / cinnamon
  • 2Elaichi (cardamom)
  • 1Bayleaf
  • 2chopped Green chilli
  • 1 tspGinger,garlic paste
  • 2Dry red chilli
  • 7 piecesCashews
  • 3roughly cut Tomatoes
  • as neededSeasonal vegetables you can like
  • 2(vertical strips) Carrot
  • 1Green Shimla mirch (vertical strips) / capsicum
  • 1Potato (par boiled vertical strips)
  • 1/2 cupboiled Peas
  • 10 pieces(vertical strips) Beans
  • 1/4 tspTurmeric powder
  • 1 tspChilli Powder
  • 1 tspDhaniya powder / coriander powder
  • 1/2 tspFenugreek leaves dry
  • 1/2 tspGaram Masala / whole spice powder
  • 3 tablespoonCream
  • as neededCoriander leaves
  • 2 tspOil
  • 1Onion
  • 1 tspSugar

Steps

30 min
  1. 1

    In a pan put 3 tsp butter and heat it and add dalchini, bay leaves,elaichi, green chilli, red chilli, cashews,ginger garlic, and fry for 2 min.then add tomatoes lower the heat and cover and let it cook for 10 minutes. Once it cool down and grind it and keep aside.

  2. 2

    In a pan put 3 tsp butter and oil heat it and add Jeera,hing, onion,saute for 2 min then add haldi,all vegetables saute for 2 minutes then add chilli Powder dhaniya powder and salt fry for 2 min then add the grind masala and mix well and add dry fenugreek leaves, sugar and cream and Garam Masala

    Veg jalfrezi is ready serve with chapati and butter Naan.
