A hot and spicy chutney which is the perfect combo for soft and spongy idlis.
Steps

In a pan heat 3 tea spoons oil and fry the red chillies and soak them in water for 30 minutes.

In the same pan add 2 gtea spoons of oil and fry the garlics for two minutes.

Now add all the ingredients in to a blender jar. Add the soaked chillies too. Grind to smooth paste.

In the pan heat remaining oil and do the seasoning with mustard seeds and chana dal.

Once they splutter transfer the paste to the pan and keep saute for few minutes. Now the chutney is ready.
