Ingredients are shown in the picture below..grind green chillies,garlic,ginger in a mortar to a course consistency,slice onions and tomatoes..(I prefer slicing, you can either chop or make a puree)..,

In a hot skillet add oil as par your preference,add in cumin seeds and asafoetida..add bay leaves and dry chillies,let it crackle..now add onions and fry till translucent,add ginger chilli garlic paste..and keep stirring unless the raw smell is gone..add tomatoes and keep frying...add little salt and close the lid...salt helps to tenderise the tomatoes..so don’t avoid this process..

Now add all the spices and keep frying them unless the oil is released from the spices..it should look like the 2nd picture shown below..once done transfer this tadka to pressure cooked grams..give it a proper mix and again pressure cook for 5 to 8 min to a slow or medium heat..
