
Homemade Italian Cod Fish

Heat 4 tablespoons of oil in a saucepan. Add in the garlic and mix until golden, then crush them with a fork.

Stir in the tomatoes and ground red pepper. Cook for 10 minutes, with the saucepan half covered.

Place the whiting filet in the tomato mixture and season with salt and black pepper. Cook for 15 minutes, while turning them regularly.

Stir in the capers, 2 tbsp of oil and salt to taste. Mix well, then add in the black olives, parsley, and oregano. Cook for another 5 minutes.

Serve hot with boiled potatoes if desired.
