Soak basmati rice for 15-20 mins, wash few time and drain all the water. Keep this aside.

Take a pan on medium flame & add ghee once the ghee is little hot, add cumin seeds, bay leaf, cloves and cardamom.

Next add the cashews and almonds, make them little golden brown.

Now add vegetables and mix all well. After 2 mins add washed basmati rice & mix it again.

Next goes in water and salt as per taste. Mix well and let it cook on medium low flame.

Once the water is absorbed by the rice,cover the pan and let the rice cook for 5-7 mins. Let the flame be low.

Put the flame off and open the lid and with the serving spoon mix the rice once gently. Keep it pan open (without the lid) for 3-5 mins.

It's ready to serve.
