Steps

Wash and cut potato with skin. Take oil in pan. Add cumin, bay leaf, red chilli, cinnamon, cloves and curry leaves. Saute it for a minute and add asafoetida.

Add potatoes to it. Add turmeric and cover it on medium slow flame for 4-5 minutes. Add chopped tomato to it. Cover and cook for another 3-4 minutes.

Add 2 cups of water to it. Add salt, chilli powder and turmeric. Add jaggery. Cover and cook until gravy is thick. Garnish with fresh chopped coriander. Enjoy hot with puri or Bhakhri.
