Soak rajma overnight or atleast for 3-4 hours. Soak urad dal for 30 minutes.

Pressure cook both dal and rajma together until tender.

Heat butter in a kadhai. Add all the whole spices. Cumin,mustard seeds, bay leaf, black cardamom, cinammon and fry for 2 minutes.

Add chopped onion and fry it. Once it's done add chopped ginger, chopped green chillies, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and salt. Mix it well.

Now add chopped tomatoes and let them cook for 10 minutes.

Now masala is ready add the pressure cooked dal and rajma after mashing it lightly.

Add 1/2cup of water and bring it to boil. Simmer it for 20 - 25 minutes and stir constantly to avoid sticking.

Bring it to desired consistency and now garnish with kasuri methi, garam masala and fresh cream. Serve with steamed rice or chapati. You can add extra butter for flavour.
