Combine yeast and warm water in a bowl, set aside and allow to proof for 5 mins

Mix all the dry ingredients

Pour in the proofed yeast and mix well

Beat the batter with a spoon, cover it and place in a warm place for 1hr

Heat oil in a sauce pan, add spoonful of the batter into the hot oil, fry till golden brown

Remove from oil and drain in a colander
