Steps

Cut up cabbage into two inch pieces. Wash the cabbage then sprinkle very generous amounts of salt, shake the mixture and cover it and let it stand at room temperature for a day.

After the cabbage has stood for a day, rinse the cabbage and drain away excess water.

Dry roast the red chillies in a pan till they turn dark brown.

Take red chillies, red chilli powder, oil and vinegar and blend together to form a thick paste. Add small amounts of sugar and blend for a bit.

Mix all ingredients in a jar or airtight container and let it stand for 2-3 days at room temperature.
