Steps
- 1
Firstly prepare a sugar solution using water and sugar. Take a pan, add water and sugar. Let the sugar dissolve in it completely.
- 2
Once the water gets cooled or warm, we will start kneading the dough.
- 3
In a big mixing bowl, take all the ingredients. And knead a stiff dough using this sugar solution. Keep it aside for half an hour.
- 4
After half an hour, knead the dough once again for 2 minutes.
- 5
Now divide the dough into 4 parts. And roll it slightly thicker than a chapati. And cut it into circles using the cookie-cutter, you can cut it into any shape as you like.
- 6
Heat the oil in a skillet, and start frying these on a medium-high flame till golden in colour from both sides, in a batch of 10-12 pcs. Repeat the same way for the rest of the dough.
- 7
Let it cool down and you can store these in an airtight container. These can be used for about 6-8 days.
- 8
And your meethi mathris are ready to be served! Serve it as a side snack in a party or serve it with tea or coffee in a hi-tea party.
