In a nonstick pan add coconut and roast on medium heat till you get aroma. Add milk to the coconut and keep stirring until the milk is absorbed. Turn off the stove and set aside.

In a separate pan add water and sugar and combine on medium heat. Combine till it gets sticky. Add coconut and stir till the syrup is absorbed.

Add cardamom powder, keep stirring making sure nothing sticks to the bottom. Add the red colour. Combine

Once the coconut starts to form clumps transfer it to a plate greased with butter. Spread evenly. Put in fridge till it solidifies. Cut into the shape you want and garnish with almonds. Serve.
