Steps

Wash and cook rice in pressure cooker. Cool completely. In kadhai add heat oil, add & saute urad dal, as it turns pink add cummin seeds, asafoetida, chopped green chillies.

Add chopped onion and carrot,saute for 2 mins.

Put this mixture in rice and cucumber. Add salt and mix well.

Pour whisked curd on rice. Mix and keep refrigerate for few hours.

Serve/ Relish Chilled Delicious Thayir Sadam with South Indian Papad and lemon pickle.
