Chop the onion and the garlic in fine pieces. Chop the zucchini in big pieces

Add the broth, the onion, the garlic and the zucchini with olive oil to a pot. Cook covered at medium heat until boiling

Reduce heat to low and cook for 20 min

Add everything to the blender. Season with salt and pepper. Add cheese (optional)
