  1. 1.5 cuplentils
  2. 3 cupswater
  3. 1 clovegarlic
  4. Spices as you like
  5. Salt and pepper as you like
  6. 0.5 cupfried onion

    Put all in a pot and bring to a simmer.

    Lower the heat after it started simmering.

    Cook until soft but not smushed.
