Ingredients

  • 14-15Colocassia (arbi) boiled and peeled
  • 1 TbspGinger and green chilli paste
  • as neededFresh coriander sprigs
  • to tasteSalt
  • 1 tspCumin powder
  • 1 tspRed chilli powder
  • 1 tspGaram masala powder
  • 1 tspChaat masala
  • 1/2 tspCarom seeds (ajwain)
  • 3-4 tsprice flour
  • 2-3 TbspBread crumbs
  • as neededOil for shallow frying
  • as neededGreen chutney to serve

Steps

  1. 1

    Boil colocasia in a pressure cooker
    Peel and Mash when it’s cooled down.

  2. 2

    Add ginger- green chillies paate, coriander sprigs, salt, cumin powder, chilli powder, garam masala powder, chaat masala, carom seeds and rice flour and mix well.

  3. 3

    Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape into tikkis.

  4. 4

    Coat them with bread crumbs and keep in the fridge for 10-15 minutes.

  5. 5

    Heat some oil on a non-stick tawa. Place tikkis on it and shallow-fry till golden brown from both the sides.

  6. 6

    Serve hot with green chutney
