Yellow daal tadka with Soya chunks green peas

At first boil the soya chunks in warm water for about 30 minutes.

Wash dal and add in a pressure cooker along with 3 cups of water, soya chunks, peas, turmeric and salt to taste.
Pressure cook until dal is nicely cooked. When it cools down, mash the dal using the back of a ladle. - 3
Now heat some ghee in a pan. Add onion and fry until slightly browned.
Add ginger and garlic and fry for a minute, add green chilli and tomato and cook till tomato become soft. - 4
Now add turmeric powder and red chilli powder and the cooked dal. Then add salt and bring the dal to a boil. Cook for 4-5 minutes then add lemon juice and mix it well.

For tempering, heat ghee in a pan add cumin seeds, dry red chillies and hing then add curry leaves and fry until it turns a little brown.

Now Pour the prepared tempering over the dal. Garnish with fresh coriander and serve hot.
