Ingredients

  1. 1 1/2 poundslean ground beef
  2. 1-1/2 poundItalian sausage
  3. 1large onion chopped
  4. 1large green bell pepper (optional)
  5. 8 ozcontainer whole mushrooms (cut)
  6. 2or more cloves garlic, minced
  7. 3 (15 oz)can diced tomatoes or fire roasted tomatoes or whole
  8. 1 (6 oz)can tomato paste
  9. 1 1/2 tspdried oregano
  10. 1 tspsalt
  11. 2 tspdried basil
  12. 2 tspdried oregano
  13. 1/2 tspdried thyme
  14. 1bay leaf
  15. 1/2 cupbeef broth
  16. 1 tbspworsteshire sauce
  17. 1 tspred wine vinegar
  18. 1/2 tspbalsamic vinegar
  19. 1/4 cupred wine is best (Chianti or Merlot)

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Brown the meats on medium heat. Add salt, garlic, onion and mushrooms and bell pepper.

    Drain the grease if any.

  3. 3

    Add tomatoes, paste and herbs

  4. 4

    Add beef broth, bay leaf, worsteshier sauce, wine, and vinegars.

    Let simmer on low while the noodles cook.
