Sooji Handvo

Sooji/Semolina we make Upma , Dosa n vada with it. One day was getting bored of the common recipes.
Remembered one of my neighbor making Handvo ( Lentil, Rice and Vegetable Cake ) a famous Gujarati dish with Semolina. So thought of trying the recipe
And Voila it was a big hit.

And Voila it was a big hit.
Steps

Take a big bowl add Semolina and curd mix well and keep it aside for 30 minutes.

After 30 minutes add ginger and Garlic paste, Salt, Garam Masala, coriander powder, Red chilli flakes and Vegetables and small amount of water to blend everything well.

Add 1/2 tsp of baking powder and keep the bowl closed for not more than 5 minutes.

Heat oil in a non stick skillet add 1 tsp Mustard seeds, sesame seeds and brown jeera seeds when they start to crackle add the Rava Handvo mix.

Keep the stove on medium flame and close the lid for 10 minutes then gently take the Rava Handvo to a plate then slowly place the uncooked side to the after add oil to it skillet.

Cook the other side for 7 minutes keep a lid of the skillet.

By this time your delicious Rava Handvo will be ready You can either make it as Utappam or as vegetable cake.
