Ingredients

  • 1/2 cupunsalted butter, melted
  • 3/4 cup - 1 cup powdered sugar, adjust to sweetness
  • 1 1/2 cupsemolina / sooji / bombay rava
  • 1/2 cupmaida / plain flour / refined flour
  • pinchsalt
  • 1/4 tspcardamom powder / elachi powder
  • 1/4 cupcurd / yogurt, whisked
  • 1 cupmilk, adjust consistency
  • 3/4 tspbaking powder
  • 1/2 tspbaking soda
  • handfuldry fruits, chopped (almonds, pistachios, cashews)
  • 2 tbsptutti frutti, optional

Steps

  1. 1

    Firstly, in a bowl take melted butter, powdered sugar.

  2. 2

    Whisk continuously, till the mixture turns silky smooth.

  3. 3

    Further add rava, maida, salt and cardamom powder.
    additionally add curd and milk.
    mix well and soak for 30 minutes.

  4. 4

    Also add baking powder and baking soda.
    furthermore, add dry fruits and 2 tbsp tutti frutti.

  5. 5

    Mix well and transfer to cake tin.
    bake the cake at 180 degree celsius or 356 degree fahrenheit for 40 minutes.

  6. 6

    Further, cool down the cake completely. also transfer the cake to cooling rack to cool faster.

  7. 7

    Finally, cut the cake and serve rava cake along with masala tea in your evening snacks.
