Wash the daal and rice and make a fine paste by adding water. Add water and whisk it for 5minutes.

For masala. Cook up the potatoes. In a pan add oil. Heat it up. Add mustard seeds and turmeric. Add potatoes and salt. Mix them well.

On a non stick pan, brush up the oil. Heat it up. Sprinkle water. Rub the surface with cloth. Now pour the batter and spread evenly with spoon. Crisp it. Apply some oil to sides to get crispiness. Then add masala and spread it. Fold it serve with sambhar and coconut chutney.
