Ingredients

  1. 11/2 cupswheat flour
  2. 2 cupsmilk
  3. 1 teaspoonblueband
  4. 1 teaspoonlemon zest
  5. 1 teaspooncinnamon
  6. Oil to fry

Cooking Instructions

    Measure all the ingredients correctly

  2. 2

    Mix the dry ingredients together and rub

  3. 3

    Add in the milk,little by little as you mix

  4. 4

    Knead until you get a fine dough for about 6minutes

  5. 5

    Add in 2 tablespoon oil and continue to knead for 3mins

  6. 6

    Let the dough rest for 20minutes

  7. 7

    On your working area,dust with flour and with the help of a rolling pin roll the dough and cut into desirable shapes

  8. 8

    Heat the oil, then deep fry the mandazi,

  9. 9

    Turn them when they turn brown,

  10. 10

    Repeat steps 8&9 for the rest of mandazis

  11. 11

    Serve with tea or milk
