Ingredients

  1. 1 1/2 cupsrice (jeera rice)
  2. 1/2 cupcoriander leaves
  3. 3green chilles
  4. 7-8garlic cloves
  5. 1 inchginger
  6. 1 tspred chilly pd
  7. 1 tspturmeric pd
  8. 1 tspgaram masala pd (or pulav masala pd)
  9. 2sliced onion
  10. 3tomato paste
  11. 1bay leaf
  12. 3cloves
  13. 2cardmom
  14. 1cinnamon stick (dalchini)
  15. 1/4th tsp pepper
  16. 1 cup chopped carrot
  17. 1/2 cupchopped capsicum
  18. 1/4 cup green peas
  19. 1/4cup sweet corn
  20. 1/4 cup chopped beans
  21. 2 tbspoil
  22. 1 tbspclarified butter (ghee)
  23. Salt as per taste

Cooking Instructions

    Firstly wash rice & soak it in water for 15-20 mins. Drain and keep aside until needed

    Next in a mixer grinder add ginger, garlic, green chilles & coriander leaves to this add little water & make fine paste

  3. 3

    Heat ghee & oil together in a pressure cooker on low flame. Add bay leaf, cinnamon, cloves, pepper,cardmom saute for 30 sec now add sliced onions & saute till it turns light brown

    Now to this add tomato paste and fry for 5 mins,

    Next to this add, capsicum, beans, carrot, green peas, sweet corn stir fry them for 2 mins.now to this add 2 1/2 cup hot water

    Now add soaked(drained)rice,garam masala pd, turmeric pd red chilly pd, salt.

    Close the lid of cooker & cook over medium flame for 1 whistle.turn off the flame

    Let it cool at room temperature,until pressure inside cooker comes down naturally.open the lid carefully & fluff the rice with a spatula,transfer it to a serving bowl

    Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with raita

    Note - you can use basmati rice also
