Collect the ingredients. Wash dal and rice.

Take a cooker, add washed rice, dal,1 tsp salt, 1/2tsp turmeric powder and 3 cups of water. Cook for 4 whistle on high flame.Let it cool down, open the lid. Khichdi is ready.

Heat a pan, add 1 tbsp ghee, cumin seeds, hing, let it crackle, add garlic, green chilli, ginger, fry for 1 min., add onion. Fry for 2 mins on medium flame.

Add tomato, broccoli,1/2 tsp salt. Fry for 2 mins.on medium flame. Add prepared khichdi, 1 cup water, garam masala and amchur powder. Mix well. Cook for 5 mins on medium flame. Turn off the flame.

For tadka... Take a small pan, add 1tbsp ghee, 1/2 tsp cumin seeds, let it crackle, add dried red chillies, red chilli powder. Turn off the flame. Pour this tadka to khichdi. Jali urad dal ki khichdi is ready to serve for dinner. Enjoy!!!
