Favourite Lunch Recipe. Akkha Masoor Daal. This Masoor dish is simply mind blowing and you would like to take few more servings of the same when you will dine. It is not at all spicy.
Steps

Soak 100 gm Red Lentils (Masoor Daal) in water for overnight. Boil it. Keep lentils stock separately in container.

Prepare White paste with Coconut Powder, Peanuts and White Sesame Seeds.

White Gravy paste is ready.

Take Desi Ghee in a pan. Put flame to medium. Shallow Fry chopped Onion to golden brown colour.

Add Chopped tomatoes and stir till it softens. Add Ehite Gravy Paste. Roast it till Colour Changes to dark brown.

Add all spices like Salt, Roasted Cumin Seeds Powder, Turmeric Powder, Red Chilli, Coriander Powder, Mango Powder, Garam Masala, etc to taste.

When Gravy turns dark brown, add boiled Red Lentils. Stir vigorously and make semi paste.

Now after cooking for 5-6 minutes add Red Lentils Stock and stir. Add more Ghee and stir. Add Tamarind pulp and Jaggery at this stage.

Cook this lentils soup (Daal) till it become thick. Prepare deep fried Onion rings to garnish.

Delicious Akkha Masoor Daal is ready.
