Ingredients

  1. 2 cupschana dal (Chickpea lentil)
  2. 1 cupmoong dal(yellow split gram)
  3. 1toor dal (split pigeon peas toor dal)
  4. 1/2urad dal (split lentils urad dal)
  5. 1 spoonginger paste
  6. 1 spoonred chilli paste
  7. to tasteSalt
  8. 4-5Curry leaves
  9. As required Oil for deep frying
  10. ForGreen chutney:
  11. 1 cupcoriander leaves
  12. 1/2 sprigmint leaves
  13. 1 spoon peanuts
  14. to tasteSalt
  15. 1/2 tsplemon juice
  16. 3green chillies
  17. Littlewater

Steps

    Firstly soak all the lentils together for 4 hours.

    Now drain the water properly.

  3. 3

    Dry the lentils with soft cotton cloth.

  4. 4

    Now take 1 cup of lentils and keep aside.

  5. 5

    Take a mixer jar and put rest of the lentils.add salt and grind it coarsely.

  6. 6

    Take a pan. Put this coarsely lentils mixture, add 1 cup whole lentils, add lil salt, ginger paste, green chilli paste and curry leaves.

    Mix all these together very nicely.

    Now heat a oil in a pan for deep frying.

  9. 9

    Meanwhile make the small balls of this lentils mixture and press with your finger tips and make shape like Pattice. Make all the Pattice and keep aside.

    Once the oil is heat up. Deep fry the lentils balls.

    Keep frying till it turns to brown and crispy.

    Flame should be medium to high. Don't change while frying.

    Now take it out in a absorbent paper.

  14. 14

    Let's make chutney. Take a mixer jar and add coriander, mint leaves, peanuts, salt, Green chillies and lemon juice. Add little bit of water and grind it well. The green spicy chutney is ready.

    Now serve Dal vada with green chutney.
