Ingredients

  1. Chocolate Cake Ingredients
  2. 1 cupall-purpose flour
  3. 1/2 tspsalt
  4. 1/4 tspbaking powder
  5. 1/2 tspbaking soda
  6. 1 tspinstant coffee powder
  7. 1 cupwhite sugar
  8. 1/2 cupcocoa powder
  9. 1/4 cuppowdered milk
  10. 1whole egg
  11. 1 tspwhite vinegar
  12. 1 tspvanilla essence
  13. 1/4 cupvegetable oil
  14. 1 cupwater
  15. Butternut Streusel Ingredients
  16. 1 1/2 cupall-purpose flour
  17. 1/2 cupwhite sugar
  18. 1/3 cupbutter/margarine
  19. 1/2 tspnutmeg powder
  20. 2-3 tsporange food color
  21. Chocolate Glaze Ingredients
  22. 3/4 cuppowdered sugar
  23. 2 1/2 tbspevaporated milk
  24. 1 tbspCocoa powder
  25. 1/2 tspvanilla essence

Cooking Instructions

    For the Chocolate Cake: Bring 1 liter water to boil.

    Combine all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, powdered milk, baking soda, baking powder, salt and instant coffee

    In a separate bowl combine egg, vegetable oil, vanilla essence, vinegar and water.

    Combine wet and dry ingredients

    Pour the cake batter in a cake pan

  6. 6

    Steam for 20-25 minutes over medium low heat

  7. 7

    Cool in a pan for 5 minutes.

    Remove from pan and cool completely

    Break and crumble the cake

    Scoop 1 tbsp of cake and form into ball.

    For the Butternut Streusel: In a pan melt butter over low heat and add orange food color.

    Add all-purpose flour and cook for 3-5 minutes

    Add sugar and nutmeg powder.

  14. 14

    Cool completely and mix by hand.

    For the Chocolate Glaze: Combine powdered sugar, cocoa powder and evaporated milk. Mix well.

    To Coat: Dip the cake balls into the glaze. Let the excess glaze drip. Coat the cake balls with butternut Streusel. Chill for few minutes until set up.
