Saiva meen kuzhambu valaipoo puli kuzhambu

Valaipoo puli Kuzhambu (Banana blossoms Curry) is otherwise called as Saiva meen Kuzhambu (vegetarian fish curry) because it looks and tastes exactly like fish curry. Only difference is we use valaipoo instead of Fish. It goes well with hot rice, idly and Dosa.

Steps

In a cooking pan, heat a tbsp of oil and fry the chopped onions and tomatoes. Cool down and grind them to a smooth paste.

In the same pan, add a tbsp of oil and fry the banana blossoms.

Inside the fried banana blossoms, add in the grounded onion tomato paste And mix well

Add in the grounded coconut paste and mix well
- 5
Pour the tamarind Water and enough water for the Curry.

Add in the Red chili powder, coriander powder and enough salt for the Curry.

Add the coarsely grounded cumin seeds, garlic and pepper corns. Check for salt, spice and Consistency. Cover and cook till the oil separates.

In another pan, heat a tbsp of oil and add the items under tamper. Saute for a minute and pour into the prepared curry.

Finally sprinkle some chopped coriander leaves. Vegetarian fish curry is ready to serve.
