Ingredients

10 servings
  • 1 tbsButter
  • 1large onion
  • 2large potatoes
  • 2gloves Garlic
  • 6 cupschicken stock
  • Diced tomatoes
  • 2large carrots
  • 1 1/2 cupsmilk
  • 1/2 cupsheavy cream
  • Pinchsalt
  • 2 poundHalibut filets
  • 1/2 cupshredded cheese, cheddar
  • PinchCayenne pepper, red pepper flakes

Steps

  1. 1

    Melt butter in pot. Add onion and saute. Add the potatoes and garlic until the potatoes have softened slightly.

  2. 2

    Add chicken stock, tomatoes, and carrots. Bring to boil, then reduce heat and simmer about 10 mins.

  3. 3

    Add the milk, cream, season to taste, then stir in halibut. Simmer halibut until fish is flaky, about 10 mins. Stir in cheese if you want.
