In a saucepan or kadhai, add butter and let it melt, then add flour to it and cook for 2 mins- this is called roux

On the other hand, slightly warm your milk.

Add crushed garlic, dash of ginger and pepper to your roux. And once it starts leaving aroma, add your warm milk.

Stir everything constantly else lumps will form. Let it thicken.

Once sauce like consistency, add in your puree and remaining ingredients except cream.

Let it simmer for 1 minute.

Now take off from heat and blend with a hand blender for a creamy texture (optional)

Serve with fresh cream drizzled over the top!
