Sausages with Onions in White Wine
A classic, very simple, and economical recipe. You'll see that with just a few ingredients, we can create a very tasty and appealing dish.
Cooking Instructions
- 1
First, prick the sausages with a toothpick to prevent them from bursting while frying.
- 2
Next, pour a splash of olive oil into a pan and fry the sausages, just browning them, as we will finish cooking them with the onions later. Once browned, remove them from the heat, leaving them in the same pan.
- 3
Now, in a pot, pour a splash of olive oil and add the sliced garlic. Let them brown, then add the onions cut into thin slices, and sauté them with the bay leaves, a pinch of white pepper, and salt to taste.
- 4
When the onions start to brown, pour in the white wine and let the alcohol evaporate. The dish will be ready when the onions begin to soften.
- 5
Now pour the onion mixture into the pan with the sausages and cook on low heat for about 10 minutes to let the flavors blend. Our sausages are ready!
- 6
We can serve the dish with mashed potatoes, which is undoubtedly the perfect combination for this appetizing recipe.

One day I wanted to whip up a quick dinner, so I tried throwing together the ingredients I had in my refrigerator. After you turn on the heat, don't lift the lid open. It won't burn, so don't worry. For those who are worried that it might burn, I recommend using a Teflon or non-strick frying pan.Use whatever mushrooms you like. Using several different types will increase the amount of umami.
