Masala Vada

Soak chana daal for around two hours and then drain the water

Add the chana daal to a blender and then add cumin, saunf, cinnamon and salt and pulse a few times to get a thick mixture.

Into this mixture add the onions, chillies, curry leaves, ginger garlic paste and haldi and mix everything together.

Make small balls out of this mixture and then flatten them in your palm and deep fry on a medium flame.

Remove them from the oil once they turn golden and crisp and drain excess oil on a tissue paper.

Serve hot with chutney
