Crispy Raw Banana Fritters

Crispy Raw Banana(or Plantain) Fritters make a great tea time snack in the evening!
It is very easy to make in a very short time.
I wanted it to be super crispy so made a batter of thin consistency with Besan(Gram flour) and Rice flour. Also i have soaked the banana slices in turmeric water for few mins to remove the stickiness and prevent it from darkening.
It actually tasted so good that in no time it got over. Do try out this simple recipe for a wonderful crispy tea time snack!

Heat the oil for deep frying. Meanwhile remove the skin of the bananas and cut them into halves.

Mix turmeric powder in water and cut bananas further into thin slices directly to the turmeric water.

In a bowl, mix besan, rice flour, salt, turmeric powder, asafoetida and red chilli powder along with water to make a batter of thin consistency.

Dip banana slices into the batter and drop it gently into the hot oil. Fry till the fritters turn golden brown in medium flame.

Serve crispy raw banana fritters with tomato or green chutney and enjoy with a cup of hot tea!
