Steps

For dough : Combine all the ingredients in a deep bowl and knead into semi soft dough using enough water.

Cover the dough with a cloth and keep aside for 12-15 minutes.

For the moond dal filling : Grind the moong dal in a mixer to a mixture without using water. Keep aside.

Heat the oil in non-stick fry pan and add cumin seed, asafoetida And moong dal paste & cook at medium flame for a few minutes.

Add ginger green chilli paste, chilli powder, dry mango powder, garam masala,salt & besan and mix well & cook it on a medium flame for 4-5 minutes & then keep aside for cool.

Roll out of the each portion of the dough into a circle.

Place some portion of moong dal filling in the center.

Bring together all sides & seal it tightly and roll the fill portion again into a circle and make more Kachoris.

Heat the oil in a deep non-stick kadhai and deep fry Kachoris on a medium flame for 5-6 minutes & then drain the moong dal Kachoris on a plate.

Serve moong dal Kachoris with tomato sauce or green chutney.
