Steps

Heat onions, garlic and ginger til onions soft (low heat) / brown
Add methi seeds and bay leaf and fry for 1 min

Add lemon juice, cumin seeds and salt

Cut the potatoes into small pieces

Once onions are brown and soft turn heat down, add a bit of water so spices dont burn. Add all the dry spices and mix

Fry for 3-5min, add some water if dry. Turn into a paste

Add tomatoes. Add some Puree (optional) or half -3/4 tin of chopped tomatoes. Add water if too thick.

Add optional extras cream or yoghurt 1 dessert spoon

Add chickpeas and potatoes, bring to the boil so bubbling and then simmer for 10-15 mins
