Ingredients

  1. 5-6 piecesrohu fish (peeled and de scaled)
  2. 2potatoes (cut in wedges)
  3. 1onion (cut in slices)
  4. 3green chilies
  5. 1 tbspTurmeric powder
  6. 1 1/2tbspCumin powder
  7. 1 tbspGinger paste
  8. Salt
  9. 4-5 tbspMustard oil
  10. 1bay leaf(optional)

Cooking Instructions

    Mix the raw fishes with salt and turmeric

    Fry the fish in hot mustard oil, both sides

  3. 3

    Keep the fishes aside once fried, add some more oil in pan and add potatoes to fry

  4. 4

    After the potatoes are done, pour some more oil and fry the onion with chillies

  5. 5

    Add bay leaf, ginger paste, turmeric and cumin powder and stir well and salt to taste

  6. 6

    Now pour in a cup of warm water on the mixture and add on the fried potatoes and cover and simmer it

  7. 7

    Once the mixture comes to boil add the fried fish

  8. 8

    Serve it with steamed rice
