Kabuli Chana Pulao

Wash and soak basmati rice. Keep aside.

Soak chickpeas overnight. Boil till soft. Drain and keep aside.

In a bowl take all the ingredients of marination.Mix.

Add boiled chickpeas,mix and keep in fridge for 30 minutes.

Heat oil in a vessel.Fry sliced onion till golden brown.Take out and keep aside.

Add whole spices in the remaining oil.Saute for 1 minute.

Add marinated chickpeas,mix.Add salt and tomato cut into 4 pieces.

Cover the vessel and cook on medium -low flame for 3-4minutes.

After 3-4 minutes open the lid and add basmati rice,mix well.Add whole green chillies.

Add 3 cups hot water,cover the lid and cook on medium flame for 3 minutes.

After 3 minutes stir once the rice,cover the lid and lower the flame.And further cook till rice is soft.It will take 4-5minutes.

Open the lid,stir gently the pulao.Put off the flame.

Cover and lid and leave for 5 minutes.Now kabuli chana pulao is ready to serve.

Garnish with fried onion.Serve hot with raira /salad.
