Partially cook the rice with salt one tsp ghee and one tsp of lemon juice

The rice for this recipe is cooked in a vessel not in a cooker

It should be lump free.I cook in a pressure cooker without whistle and lid just covered

In a kadai now boil the chopped vegetables and keep it aside

Now take oil in a pan or kadai add cumin seeds

Next add onion ginger garlic paste and fry well

Once onion is fried nice and pink add the vegetables and tomato
- 8
Add the above dry powder masala and kasuri methi
- 9
Cook well till all the masala becomes fragrant

Add the rice mix well and serve with garnished coriander
- 11
Fried cashews and raisins can be added as well like I did.
