Ingredients

Serves 5 servings
  • 1.1 lbsfresh orecchiette (500 g)
  • 7 ozground pork or Italian sausage (200 g)
  • 1/2onion
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1 lbbroccoli cream (450 g)
  • For the cream:
  • 3boiled potatoes
  • 2 tablespoonsgrated Parmesan cheese (30 g)
  • 10.5 ozbroccoli (300 g)
  • Salt and pepper

    While you bring a pot of water to a boil for the pasta, heat a drizzle of olive oil in a skillet. Add the chopped half onion and sauté for a few minutes. Add the ground pork with a pinch of salt and pepper (if using sausage, you can skip the salt and pepper). Once cooked, add the broccoli cream.

    Cook and drain the orecchiette, reserving some of the cooking water. Add the pasta to the skillet with the sauce. Toss everything together over low heat, gradually adding the reserved cooking water until the pasta becomes creamy.
