Ingredients

30 mins
4-6 servings
  • 2 cupsRagi / Nachni Flour
  • 3/4 cupBajra Flour
  • 1/2 cupGram Flour / Besan
  • 1.5 cupsFenugreek / Methi Leaves, chopped
  • 1-2Carrots, Grated
  • 1big Onion, chopped
  • 2 tbspCoriander Leaves, chopped
  • 3-4Green Chillies, chopped
  • 4-5Garlic Cloves, grated
  • 1/2 tspRed Chilli Powder
  • 1 tspRoasted Cumin Powder
  • 1/4 tspAsafoetida / Hing Powder
  • Salt to Taste
  • 1/4-1/2 cupWarm Water
  • Ghee, as required

Steps

30 mins
  1. 1

    Take the Ragi, Bajra and Besan Flours on a mixing bowl. Add salt to taste.

    Wash, chop / grate the veggies.

    Add the veggies, the cumin and red chilli, cumin & asafoetida powders into the mixing bowl. Knead into a dough, using warm water as required.

    Cover & rest the dough in the fridge for 10-15 mins.

  5. 5

    Now take small rounds of dough, dust with dry flour of choice, flatten out on the rolling board / chakla using your palms. Shape into rounds.

    Grill on a hot tava, flip and add ghee, flip again to smear ghee on both sides. Cook until golden brown and done

    Serve with Raita, Pickle or Chutney of choice.
