Italian Egg Frittata: Italian Egg Omelette 💁🏻♀️

This recipe belongs to the ITALIAN CUISINE AND FAMILY of the “OPEN FACED OMELETTE” which actually turns out to be immensely delicious 😋 flavourful, soft & fluffy...!!!
The word FRITTATA has derived from the original version of FRIGGERE: That, apparently stands for something that’s FRIED...!
This was originally used as a term for cooking eggs 🍳 in the skillet, anywhere on the spectrum of the fried eggs, to the ITALIAN VERSION of the very SPANISH OMELETTE- made with fried potatoes 🥔 or patata, in Spanish !
It’s one of the WORTH TRY...Do give it once for sure 👍🏻

Steps
- 1
In a large mixing bowl: Add in all the aforementioned ingredients and mix everything well together until nicely combined and well incorporated.
- 2
Heat up a frying pan/skillet, over the medium flame: Add in the measured Butter & EVOO altogether & allow it to melt properly & spread evenly all along with the pan.
- 3
Now, add in the chopped onions, garlic, tomatoes, bell peppers, freshly chopped methi leaves (I’ve used the Kasuri Methi hence added in, later) & sauté well together until nicely combined and they shrink in the size/volume quite a bit
- 4
Goes in the salt, dry herbs & rest of the other spices, aforementioned- Give it all a really good mix until everything’s nicely combined- Reduce the flame to low-medium at this point.
- 5
In another bowl: Whisk in the eggs absolutely nicely until frothy & now, pour in the same to the frying pan- Spread it evenly all across the pan nicely...reduce the flame to low, cover it & let it cook for about 8-10 mins time, on one side
- 6
Now, when done with one side: Goes off the flame, open the lid of the pan- Put a plate/Dish on the top of the pan & very gently, carefully & cautiously flip it over onto the plate from the pan- Turn on the flame to low again & slide the half cooked omelette gently & carefully to the pan
- 7
Cover the pan & again, let it cook for another 7-8 mins time on the other side as well. Once done: Turn off the flame flame, let it sit on the hot oven for another 5-6 mins time before transferring it to the serving platter
- 8
Time to dish out & enjoy with your favorite dips/chutneys/sauces, with your family & friends/ known quarters. Garnish it with some more sprinkles of freshly cracked peppers, dry basil, or parsley...

Enjoy.💁🏻♀️😋
