This is very nutritious and delicious. Actually my grandmother used to prepare same khichdi ( without salt, ghee and chuteny powder )for cows on Makarsankranti Diwas and as a child, I love to eat this. My grandmother used to call me cow. funny. isn't it ? But now we are living in such era where everyone is talking about nutritious food and eating junk food.

  • 1 cupPearl Millet / Bajra
  • 1/4 cupMoong dal with husk
  • to tasteSalt
  • 4 tspGhee
  • 2 tsp chuteny powder

45 minutes
  1. 1

    Soak the Bajra. Do not skip this step. Soak it minimum 8 hours or overnight night.

    Add Moongdal

    Add salt and cook it. You can cook in earthen pot or cooker.
