Ingredients

1 serving
  1. 1serving Plain cooked rice
  2. 3 tbspRice vinegar (or vinegar for sushi)
  3. 1Shrimp
  4. 1Black olives
  5. 1 sliceSalmon (for sashimi)
  6. 1 dashGreen onion (finely chopped)
  7. 1 tbspSushi Grade Tuna (for negitoro -minced fatty tuna with green onions-)
  8. 1Wasabi
  9. 1Yuzu pepper paste
  10. 1Soy sauce

Steps

  1. 1

    Mix the rice vinegar into the freshly made rice and mix well.

    Roll into small balls.

    Top one with the salmon and some chopped green onion (or avocado).

    Cut a shiso leaf in half, wrap it around another ball, and top with the tuna (and some chopped green onion).

    Top the third ball with the shrimp and olive.

    Variations include cured ham + avocado, cucumber + cherry tomato + egg, etc. Eat together with wasabi, yuzu pepper paste, and soy sauce.
