Rich Buttermilk-style White Chocolate Pies

cookpad.japan
cookpad.japan @cookpad_jp

My mother made some delicious chocolate pies and I thought that they would probably taste great with white chocolate too.
They have the taste and richness of a buttermilk pancake, making them completely satisfying.
Try making them for Valentine's Day.

Please check on them occasionally to make sure they don't burn!

When pushing the crusts together with the chopstick, don't push too hard.

If there isn't enough space between the chocolates, roll out both crusts to make them larger.

Don't add too much water to the egg yolk or it will be difficult to spread onto the pies, plus the glaze won't come out so well. Be careful! Recipe by Myuu samada

  2. 2

There should be this difference in size when rolled out. Poke holes into the crust with a fork. (The non-rolled crust already has holes, so you don't have to make any.)

  3. 3

Line up the squares of white chocolate on the crust, leaving space in between each one.

Serve these pies with coffee or tea! You can let them cool if you'd like to have the chocolate a bit more firm, but they're also delicious when eaten piping hot.
